A day in… Malmo, Sweden

Travelling across the bridge to Malmo you definitely do feel like you are entering a completely new place despite only being a short ride away. Do sit on the right side so you can see across the water and at the ships, you can even at points see along the rest of the bridge. The first coach leaves Copenhagen at 10.15am and picks up again in Malmo at 4.15pm, we got into Malmo at just before 11.30am and so had just over 5 hours.

96 hours in… Copenhagen, Denmark Pt 2.

First of all I know it has been 5 months since my last post, plus leaving you all hanging on part 1 of our Copenhagen trip and not following promptly with part 2! Sorry! I will explain in another post but without further delay here is part 2 of our 96 hours in Copenhagen which was actually a year ago, to the day, this week!

Year in review – 2015

Back to where it all began.

2015 saw the first of our European adventures and the start our 4 day holidays. With only the two holidays abroad this year, first to Norway and then to Sweden, the second part of the year was spent in Edinburgh and Cornwall.

For these two holidays, and many afterwards, you will hear me continually say ‘We enjoyed travelling to x’ and the simple truth is, we did. There has, to date, not been one place we have regretted going to or not found interesting. I apologise now that it will pop up in blogs from time to time but I will try and either use better adjectives or refrain from the phrase.

96 hours in… Gothenburg, Sweden

Continuing our Scandinavian Adventure it seems only right to go in the order we travelled in soo… our next big trip was Gothenburg, Sweden, a beautiful place with so much to see!

Hot chocolates, cafes, tram travelling, park viewing and good food. We packed in a lot in our 4 days, so much so that I don’t know how best to fit it all into this post.

A special mention has to go to the Universeum, which was initially meant as a time filler but ended up being one of the most interesting museums we have been too. You could not only be an astronaut but also visit a rain forest and go back in time to the ice age. I would, without a doubt, class this as a must do!
